Hi,

We have production set up as active - passive DB with dataguard.Do I need to do the initial schema set up and object creation in passive DB also or will the Dataguard take care this replication ?

Oracle uses the terms "primary" and "standby", not "active" and "passive".
Log on to the standby, and try to create something: the answer will be obvious.
