Thanks Michael,

Although the archive logs are applied as per SCN number, how can I determine what is the NEXT archivelog (out of 3 different threads) that will be applied to standby.

Thanks,
D.

 1* select group#, status from v$log
  2 /

    GROUP# STATUS
---------- ----------------
	 1 INACTIVE
	 2 CURRENT
	 3 INACTIVE

the "current" REDO group will be archived to next sequence number
